Refund/Cancellation Policy

To be valid, IHS must receive notification of your cancellation in writing. Cancellations received on or before August 31st will be refunded less a $75 administrative charge. Beginning September 1, 2024, no refunds are given, however a one-time registration fee rollover to the 2025 conference may be processed. This applies to conference registration, special events, manual processing fees, and any other activities purchased.

 

Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk

Please carefully read the following and complete your registration if you agree:

I agree that by choosing to attend and travel to/from the 2024 IHS Conference & Expo, I am knowingly and voluntarily assuming all risk to myself, known and unknown, associated with the potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus, up to and including possible death. I release all hosts and sponsors of the event including the International Hearing Society (IHS), the IHS Board of Governors, and the IHS Staff, from any and all liability related in any way to my attendance.

I agree that I am personally responsible for my safety and actions while participating in any function of the conference. I further acknowledge that I will do what is asked of me to assist in maintaining a safe environment and will follow all posted guidance, the guidance of IHS, and that of the hotel staff to help ensure a safe and positive experience for all.

By completing the registration, I acknowledge and represent that I have read this Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk policy, that I understand what I have read, and that I agree with these terms and conditions. I acknowledge that I agree to these terms and conditions voluntarily, including without limitation, the release of liability set forth above, and that I am sufficiently informed about the risks involved with traveling to and participating in the functions and gatherings of the conference.
