International Licensing Examination for Hearing Healthcare Professionals (ILE)

The International Licensing Examination for Hearing Healthcare Professionals, known as the ILE, is a proprietary examination that is owned and copyrighted by the International Hearing Society (IHS). It is used as the written licensing examination for hearing aid specialists in 43 states and 5 Canadian provinces.


To take the ILE, you will first need to be deemed eligible by your state or provincial licensing agency.
