Important Test Day Information


When going to the testing center for your exam appointment, be sure to:

Bring two forms of identification.

Both forms of identification must match the name on the exam scheduling account exactly. Note that a Social Security Card is NOT an acceptable form of identification.


Options for First Form of ID

  • A government-issued identification card, or driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Military identification with a current photo


AND



Options for Second Form of ID

  • 2nd form of government-issued identification
  • Major credit card (i.e. Visa®, MasterCard®, or American Express®)
  • Check cashing card
  • Bank debit card


Bring your Authorization code.

Candidates will receive this code in an email following the completion of their exam registration. This email constitutes your official receipt. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.



Arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Plan ahead and ensure you are at the testing facility early.



Leave personal possessions home.

You may also be permitted to store items in the secure area provided by the testing center. No testing aids are permitted.



Be aware.

Familiarize yourself with what is considered cheating and stealing in regards to the ILE. Click here for details.



Remember: If you need to cancel or reschedule your exam, you can do so up to 72 hours before your appointment for only a small fee. If it’s less than 24 hours before your exam appointment and you cancel or reschedule, you’ll have to pay the full fee again. So be sure to verify you have everything you need at least 4 days before your exam.
